Everyone knows about THE GOAL. But, only some will have a goal and some don't want to keep any goal at all; since, they don't have any guarantee that they are going to reach it.
We may keep some goal today; tomorrow we may change our goal. If there are too many changes in the goal, then it will not work and you will very likely get only negative results. After keeping a goal, if you strengthen the goal by identifying the various positive reasons to stick onto the same goal, then it would really help you to achieve the same.
Most of the goals we don't achieve due to some reasons:
Not having strong reasons to support the goal
No consistency in the goal, Based on newer understanding daily, we might go on changing it
Laziness will make us too loose interests in achieving the goal
No support from other people to keep up the much needed positive energy
If there is no progress initially and immediately, we might give up eventually
Having too many goals
Expecting some magic to happen by assigning all the work to God and Luck
Short term goal: This type of goal will help us to see the results as soon as possible and this will enable us to keep up our positive energy. This is what you are going to do by default every day. Every action you do, you can consider it as a short term goal.
Long term goal: This type of goal will help us to achieve something big in life. If we want to become better in life, we need to always have some big goal. This goal must be discussed with various people whom you trust and you need to collect various feedbacks to check whether the goal is proper or not.
If you talk with experienced people, you will get lots of reasons to give more support for your goal. You need to stick to this goal by "Writing in Paper". Do not try to keep this just in Mind itself. Unless it is written, you will always have options to change it easily.
Do not ever tell your big goal with the people who are not confident about themselves; do not tell your big goal with people who never achieve anything in life. They will laugh at you and this will de-motivate you. At the same time, if they do not have trust in you, they might even laugh at you. So, present your big goal to someone who has at least some respect for you as a person. This is a prerequisite for achieving the big goal. Without peoples’ support, you cannot achieve any big goal.
Before you explaining your goal to someone, you need to evaluate whether that person is going to support your goal or he is the right person to listen to your plans. If you feel good about that person, only then you need to explain it to them. After explaining, maybe he might not support you, as you had expected, then you need to search for other people. You know, big goal needs to have more reasons to achieve since; it takes many, many years. So, it is worth spending more time in getting good-many reasons to support that goal.
If you do not spell out your big goal with some people whom you trust, you cannot achieve it. You know, unless you speak about your goal at least with few people, people are not going to support you. If they don't support your big goals, you will never achieve it. If you are unable to tell others about your goal, which also shows that you don't have the people whom you trust.
When we have a big problem to solve, we are going to split the problem and solve it one by one. Since, as a human we cannot solve the problem as it is. Same way, once we keep a big goal, we need to identify the various target positions you need to achieve from your Current stage. If you do not move from current stage to next level in a small step, you cannot see the result faster and you cannot retain your positive energy. So, you need to identify various small steps which u need to achieve before you reach your big goal.
For ex: By counting numbers till 9, we need to start from 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Here 9 is a Big goal, rest of the numbers which we named here are small stages where we see the result and continue further. Same way, we need to plan to achieve that big goal in our life.
To reach from Source to Destination, you need to know clearly the Destination part. If you just get inside some train, where you will reach? You will reach somewhere, are u fine with that destination? May not be always. If you clearly specify where you want to land, then you can get inside the right train and reach the right destination.
During traveling, there are so many people who help you on the way and only some people will reach the same destination along with you. You will also find some people who will irritate you and bugged by this irritation, you will not go back to the Source itself. Somehow you decided to reach destination and you are going to reach it. You also have the option to travel in various routes, some are short and some are long. It all depends on you how much you are going to check up with people about the various routes, so that you can try to pick the shorter route. You will reach various stops on the way.
When you ask about short route or better route you might get various feedbacks from people in the railway station. If you ask someone who has less knowledge about the route, it will not help you to pick THE BETTER WAY to reach. Here, you need to identify a right person who has knowledge about all the routes. Then there are more chances that you pick up the better route.
When you choose a strange new destination, obviously you will not just take suggestions in the railway station; also, on the way you are going to ask people for some more suggestions to get more confidence. Here also, you need to pick better people or else you might land at some other destination. Some reach their destination with a shorter route, and some with a longer route and some may not reach the destination at all because they were misguided by the people around them. If you could reach the destination with the shorter route, it saves a lot of time and energy (effort). You know the importance of time.
You can pick many similarities from this example comparing with The Big Goal. You can think and take whatever is appropriate to you.
