We need to get help in one or the other ways from others. At times, it would be impossible to go on without others’ help. But, there is some problem within us while expecting help from others:

  • We don't communicate properly what exactly we want. We internally just expect others to help and if that person doesn’t help, we get disappointed.

  • We ask for help and we don't involve actively till it is completed. But, we expect that person to do everything and get back to us with the output. But, output will not come always. Reasons for failure can be many.

Before asking help from others, we need to think about:

If we fail to help ourselves; how can we expect others’ to help us. But, that person has his own life and needs to help himself and only then he could help us. Don't you think when we fail to do one task, we expect other person to do 2 tasks successfully?

So, before expecting help from others we need to spend our complete energy to achieve the task. Then if we don't have any other option, then we can depend on others and at the same time we need to keep track of our work with that person. We should not expect some magic from that person. He needs at least our co-ordination to do our own work.

If that task cannot be completed for whatever reasons, the best could be to blame yourself instead of blaming others and treat that as your personal failure. Accepting failures of your own will enable you to do better the next time.
