Hi' I am Yash, I am working as a Chief Technology Officer in Cyber Security startup since August 2009.

At the age of 19 (year is 1996), I started my career in IT Industry after completing Diploma in Computer Science after 10th Standard in an Anti-Virus company since, then I have never stopped learning new stuffs, specializing in developing System related products.

Work on anti-virus was mainly in developing Detection and Curing thousands of viruses which includes DOS Virus, Win 3.11 Virus, Win32 viruses, and Macro viruses. I had an opportunity to write detection and cure for first-ever Win95 fast spreading viruses. I helped in design and development of front-end anti-virus scanner. I have reverse engineered Dos and Win32 binary files of several thousands of viruses.

I designed and implemented a solution to backup Open files such as Microsoft Outlook files and patented the same in customer's name.  Along the way, I worked on Backup and Recover products, where I got a chance to implement backup and recovery modules for Active Directory, Share Point and Meditech products. Solution implemented for the backup of Meditech product has been applied for a patent.

I have also worked on e-learning products, which requires capturing minute details about the windows controls on the screen. I acquired in-depth knowledge while doing research about how this GUI automation tools works and have done reversing GUI automation tools for checking the approach of their capturing methods. After checking various approaches I was able to develop a capturing method for ActiveX Controls and  COM/DCOM components. This has been involved multiple trial and errors for finding out the solution and extensive research for capturing any type of components. This solution can be utilized by any 3rd party application for capturing the data which is displayed in these controls.  The COM/DCOM/ActiveX interception thus developed has been applied for a patent.

I was involved in hiring best talent and help in hiring appropriate candidates for others teams as well. I had the responsibility to Interview candidates for checking both technical and behavioral skills. My interview process has ensured a 95% retention of the hired candidates, who are now STARS in their teams.

I guide my team members in resolving their technical issues on wider topics like Debugging complex problems, Design discussions, Architectural decisions and Implementation.  I have been training team members on Programming languages like C, C++, Cyber security and Windows NT operating system internals. My passion is to share both my technical and non-technical knowledge. I share my expertise in Debugging complex problems  to both team  and other teams frequently.  My leadership skills were tested successfully several times in my career when I co-ordinate with multiple teams for successful release of products on schedule.

My experiences have provided me the capacity to involve myself at any stage of the Product development life cycle and help organization identify, hire and nurture talent, architect & design robust products, brainstorm ideas, develop prototypes, troubleshoot errors and increase Cyber security awareness.

Need of the job profile has made me a  fast learner enabling me acquire all my technical skills without any trainings.  I have worked only for products companies, in that process I have learnt the pain points of running product companies.

My leisure is spent in working for Achala Foundation, which strives to provide education to poor people. Currently, we are undertaking a research on various schools in order to build programs to improve quality of primary education system at both Government and Government aided school level.

If you have any of the suggestions, please write to me at yashks(@)gmail.com

  1. Sir,

There are very sites which besides discussing technical topics in depth also give a insight into the thought process of the author.

I am deeply impressed by your thoughts and articles, though I am in the process of reading them one by one.

The article on stack gave me a good insight into the system working.

Thanks and your time is really appreciated.
